When we pulled the Cruiser III out of the box the first thing we noticed was how light it was. It lifted up easily and unfolded. It was pretty much ready to go. We took the leg rests out of their own separate box and they attached without the need for tools. The leg rests were easily adjustable with the push of a button on the side, extending the length as needed. We tried out the elevating leg rests and they lifted and folded down without any effort. The vinyl pads all felt nice. But this chair is brand new so these things should all be in top shape out of the box. The flip up arm rests were convenient for transferring to a chair or commode. The nylon seating was cushy and felt durable. It being water resistant was a plus for individuals using it regularly outdoors. When we folded it to put into a car, we used the wheel locks to keep it from rolling around and it fit nicely into our trunk. Not a huge trunk, we had to take the leg rests off and put them on top.
